From Awards Show Encounter to Festival Banger: JADE and Confidence Man Unleash Their 'Gossip'

In a collaboration that feels both surprising and perfectly inevitable, Little Mix superstar JADE has teamed up with Australian electro-pop sensations Confidence Man for a sizzling new single. The track, titled "gossip", is a high-energy dance-pop anthem that proves some of the best musical partnerships are born from a single, serendipitous moment. The song is finally out, and according to the artists, the taste of this musical treat is incredibly sweet.

The seeds for this explosive pairing were sown at the Rolling Stone UK Awards last November. The star-studded ceremony at London's iconic Roundhouse saw the two acts cross paths for the first time. JADE was there to deliver a stunning performance of her debut solo single, "Angel of My Dreams," while Confidence Man, the enigmatic duo of Janet Planet and Sugar Bones, were celebrating their win for the coveted Live Act Award after a blistering performance of their own track, "I CAN’T LOSE YOU." This chance encounter, as JADE later revealed, was the true genesis of their new joint effort.

Speaking about the track, Confidence Man brought their signature swagger, issuing a bold statement: "Talk shit get a hit." They described the song as a "pop sundae" and praised their collaborator's contribution, noting, "JADE put the cherry on top... and we can’t stop eating." This playful and provocative attitude is baked into the DNA of "gossip," a track that promises to be as addictive as its namesake. It’s a testament to their shared love for creating infectious, feel-good music that demands to be played at maximum volume.

The admiration is clearly mutual. In a recent chat with Rolling Stone UK at Glastonbury, JADE couldn't hide her excitement about working with the Australian duo. "I love Confidence Man," she gushed, explaining that her fandom for the group had been growing significantly. This genuine connection and shared artistic vision are palpable in the final product, blending JADE's polished pop vocals with Confidence Man's raw, dance-floor-commanding energy. It’s a perfect fusion of two distinct but complementary musical worlds.

Never ones to do things by halves, the trio gave "gossip" a debut worthy of its hype. Instead of a quiet digital release, the track was unleashed for the first time live on the Woodsies stage at this year's Glastonbury Festival. Festival-goers at Worthy Farm were the first to experience the song's pulsating beats and catchy hooks, cementing its status as an instant summer anthem. The electric live premiere has only fueled the buzz, with fans eagerly awaiting the chance to add the certified banger to their own party playlists.
