The legacy of Macomb's own Rev. C.T. Vivian is one of relentless courage and advocacy. A key strategist who worked shoulder-to-shoulder with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Vivian's lifelong fight for equality earned him the nation's highest civilian honor, the Presidential Medal of Freedom, from President Barack Obama in 2013. Now, his hometown is ensuring that legacy is not just remembered, but actively built upon for future generations.

The C.T. Vivian Foundation has unveiled a bold vision: a multi-million dollar capital campaign to erect the C.T. Vivian Center for Civic and Social Engagement right on the hallowed ground of his former home on E. Adams Street.

But what exactly are they building? This won't be a quiet museum. Organizers envision a vibrant hub buzzing with activity. Plans for the state-of-the-art facility include dedicated spaces for:
